Commissioned Catering Manager

About Chicago Gaelic Park: Chicago Gaelic Park is a vibrant cultural center that celebrates Irish heritage through a variety of events, festivals, and community activities. We offer a unique venue for weddings, corporate events, and private parties, with beautiful banquet facilities and exceptional service.
Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Commissioned Catering Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a proven track record in catering sales and event management. This role is commission-based, offering a rewarding opportunity for a driven professional to grow with us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to attract new catering clients and retain existing ones.
- Coordinate all aspects of catered events from initial inquiry through to final execution, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clients to design customized menus that meet their specific needs and preferences.
- Manage event logistics, including staffing, equipment rental, and vendor coordination.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and staff to ensure smooth event operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Track and report on sales performance and client feedback.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in catering sales and event management, preferably in a similar cultural or hospitality setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected challenges with grace.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Compensation: This position is commission-based, offering a competitive percentage of sales revenue generated from catering events.
